Poetry CommissionsI undertake a variety of commission work: perhaps you'd like to commemorate an event, or give a piece of poetry as a gift to someone special? Talk to me about your thoughts and ideas.
You can read a piece of poetry I wrote for Alan and Jayne (pictured left) here. |
ReviewsGot an event, gig or show coming up? I write reviews on a variety of creative subjects. The process of absorbing and describing experiences and events is my way of chronicling a pathway through life. I don't keep a diary, but many of my reviews serve as a journal or route-map of where I've been and what I've seen.
You can read my review of of Daphne Guinness's self-curated mini-exhibition showcasing a collection of some of her most defining personal chattels at photographer Nick Knight's Mayfair atelier here. This little cartoon was drawn on my dining table by my good friend, Jesse Diss. It shows just what a "bad review" can do for one's reputation! |
Love Letters
There can be few things in life that are as wonderful, unexpected or to be cherished as an honest-to-goodness love letter. So few are written in these days of instant communication that it makes them all the more surprising and delightful to receive.
Talk to me about your amour and I'll weave a unique testament to your love. Coupled with beautiful stationery, and optional italicised handwriting (if your own handwriting leaves too much lost to the indecipherable!) this service is indispensable for those who want to say it with romanticism or chivalry, but simply don't know how to say it.
This photograph shows the view from my study window. The driftwood sculpture was a wedding gift from an artist called Kevin Lee who constructs his work from materials he finds scattered along the estuaries of the east coast between Norfolk and Essex. The sculpture is called "Emma" and she's on our balcony, looking out wistfully over the water. I like to think of her as a dreamer, waiting for her true love to come sailing in from adventuring on the high seas.
