The Wrecked Muscle
I've published a new anthology of poetry! The Wrecked Muscle' is a collection of thirty poems brought together to evoke an atmosphere of ageless fancy and wonder, mixed with bittersweet reminiscence and longing.
I'd love to imagine someone reading it tucked up on a huge sofa, snuggled deep into a pile of cushions, as the rain pours down outside and thunder rolls over distant hills.
Equally, I'd like to think it of it presented as a gift - I have hundreds of books of poetry that I've been given and all of them have a special place on my bookshelf and in my heart.... the messages friends have written inside them are like journal entries, charting the course of my life thus far.
.... and the idea that it should be given as a gift between lovers is the best idea of all.

I'm Kirsty. I've been writing poetry, prose, essays and journals for as long as I can recall.
I write because I know no other way to make sense of the world. Sometimes I can unravel my thoughts and explain myself in one sentence. Most often a few paragraphs will do and very occasionally I have to run the pen dry before I find any peace.
This is a little collection of writing. It changes often and isn't designed to be exhaustive: never put all your thoughts on one website, you may want to be someone else tomorrow.
